huaraz
6 days

Huaraz is the gateway to the world ́s highest tropical mountain range, the Cordillera Huayhuash. It is here you will begin one of the most iconic treks on your Peru journey. This program offers the perfect combination of natural landscapes, stupendous views, and pre-Inca archaeological sites that will blow your mind. With new access roads into what is considered Peru's most spectacular mountain scenery, we have developed this short trek that penetrates the heart of the Cordillera Huayhuash mountain range. This is an opportunity for those who don’t have the time for the longer traditional route. A prerequisite, however, is to be well-acclimatized since we ascend to high altitudes rather quickly. We invite you to review the full itinerary and observe the many incredible things you’ll discover. Be sure to check our tips on the left side of this window: we want you in good condition to enjoy this spectacular trek. See you on the road!
